Malta Airport was named Best Airport in Europe in the 2011 Airport Service Quality Survey – for the second year in a row.
Commenting on this achievement, Mr Markus Klaushofer, CEO of Malta International Airport said “This prestigious placing in the world’s leading Airport Passenger Survey is a sign that our airport is on the quality map that counts. When your end-users give you this type of certificate, it gives you confidence and energy to know that all the hard work is reaping results and that we’re on the right track.
“We all feel proud of this consecutive ranking as Best Airport in Europe. But we also have to continue to strive harder and not get complacent, keeping in mind the service quality levels we offer and the overall strategic role our airport performs in the Maltese Islands’ tourism industry.”
Fully conscious of the fact that the airport is the first and last impression that visitors have of Malta, Malta Airport has invested significantly to enhance its infrastructure and its service quality, and moreover, in order to ensure continued improvements, progress is monitored through regular surveys. Winning the prestigious Airport Service Quality Award for best European Airport is a recognition of the company’s commitment to improve and a confirmation of its employees’ dedication and the support of all stakeholders in a unanimous effort to excel.
